About the "Gouda Girls"
On behalf of Becca and Margie and all of the Gouda employees, we thank you for your interest in Café Gouda. We founded Café Gouda in November of 2000, after longing for a restaurant that had something unique and delicious along with great coffee. Becca was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. Margie was born and raised in Hickory; however, her travels took her all over the country, where she met and married Becca's brother in Atlanta. The "Gouda Girls" meshed together a number of their favorite restaurants from all over the country into one.
The Café Gouda philosophy is that we are only as good as our last meal or gourmet coffee served. With this in mind, we strive for consistent quality and friendly service.
Voted Best Breakfast and Best Deli in Hickory, Café Gouda has quickly become one of the most popular spots for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in Hickory. Choose from something from our regular menu or our amazing daily special board. Our specials for breakfast range from stuffed French toast to breakfast quesadillas. Lunch offers the highest quality Deitz and Watson deli meats and cheeses on fresh homemade bread with some of the tastiest combos imaginable. And dinner — Gouda cheese ravioli or a different nightly Blue Plate Special with a glass of wine — can't be beat!!
